1. Nursing is a noble profession, where skilled & qualified nurse can serve needy & poor people in the community at primary level ” beliving this late Dr. Dada Gujar had established “ Maharashtra Arogya Mandal’s, Institute of Nursing Education” ANM course on 13th February 2002 at Sane Guruji Arogya Kendra, Malwadi, Hadapsar. This ANM course is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi& Maharshtra Nursing Council, Mumbai
2. ANM means Auxilliary Nursing Midwifery, this is a basic course of nursing, and previously it was one and half year course. Since, 2013 this ANM course have revised and now it is RANM course ( Revised Auxilliary Nursing & Midwifery) and it is full time 2 years course. After completing this course nursing students get registration from Maharshtra Nursing Council, Mumbai.

Philosophy

1. Provide equitable, accessible, affordable & quality promotive & preventive health care.
2. Training ANM in community health skill to practice basic health care at a defined level of proficiency according to local needs.

Purpose

1. Prepare ANM with specific skills to function all community level and to fulfill the health needs of community.
2. To provide quality & skilled nursing care to community.
3. To achieve personal &professional attitude.

General objectives

On completion of the course, the ANM will be able to-

1. Indentified the health problems/ needs and resource in the community and active participation in health care activities.
2. Participate in all National health & family welfare programmes at community level.
3. Provide preventive, promotive restoration & emergency health care to individual & community as required.
4. Provide treatment of minor ailments.
5. Act as a team member in the health care delivery system.

Admission Terms & condition ( as per INC)

1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought
2. Only for girls / woman.
3. The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
4. The minimum educational qualification required 10+2 in Arts/Commerce/ Science, Health care Science- Vocational stream only passing out from recognized Board or conducted by National Institute or open school
5. Student shall be medically fit.
6. Students shall be admitted once in a year i.e August..

Duration of course

1. 2 years course, full time, exams annually.

Admission Process

1. Admission starts in the months of June/July of every year.
2. Selection of students on the basic of merit.
3. New batch starts on 1st August.
